Using hadoop's technology through cloudera tools, the information technology enterprise of Minas Gerais State has begun a project that builds an ecosystem infrastructure to make available to the state public servants the transactional systems’ data. This initiative is called DataLake MG. The main goal is to have a reliable, clean, useful, within easy reach and independent of visualization tools sets of data that can be worked and analyzed by the public servants within the security restrictions of their access. The project began with data of the Public Security Secretary systems that together represents a wide amount of variables that are now being accessed by a variety of Public Security Servants and is generating lots of quality analytic information within their scope. A use case of how the analysis and information is being generated using DataLake MG as a source will be presented. This workshop intends to show how it all began, the main purposes of the project, the main benefits for the State Government and what we see as the future of this data.
