The agency is responsible for implementing and monitoring the state public security policy in coordination with the State Police (Military, Civil, Penal and Fire Department) in conjunction with the Judiciary. Its responsibilities include planning, formulating, deciding, coordinating, managing, and supervising sectoral actions in command of the Minas Gerais state.
