The workshop aims to interview leading experts in the domains of smart and sustainable cities. The global perspective will be covered through 1) introducing state of the art coverage of knowledge upon smart city development and assessment, 2) discussing the achievements of ITU and U4SSC as a transformational leading organizations of more than 100 cities around the world, 3) sharing a Norwegian perspective on smart sustainable cities collaboration platforms. The workshop will aim to collect feedbacks while educating young professionals, as well as share the knowledge with interested professionals upon the domain of smart sustainable cities. One of the aspects that will be discussed is urban development and governance initiatives from a socio-technological perspective.
The workshop will take place in the form of interviewing different policy makers, international leaders and professionals in the fields of smart cities and sustainability. The number of speakers is expected to be four: a municipal leader, a distinguished professor, a UN organizational leader and an international sustainability expert. The duration is expected to be around 30 minutes for each speaker, where a presentation will be given followed by a researcher two-way Q&A sessions, then a final open Q&A sessions for the audience will take place at the end.
