Tito Viera is Member of the Board of Directors of the Administrative Modernization Agency since September 2022.

With a degree in Information Systems Engineering from Porto School of Engineering and a master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP), he has a doctoral degree in Computer Engineering (academic part of the doctoral program) and a Senior Management Course in Public Administration.

From March 2017 to August 2022, he was General Director of Government IT Network Management Center (CEGER).

Previously, from April 2015 to February 2017, he was Director of Digital University (UPdigital) and from October 2015 to February 2017, representative of the Council of Rectors of Portuguese Universities in the PTCRIS Program.

Between 2013 and 2015, he was Member of the Executive Board of the Center for Common Resources and Services of the University of Porto and Director of the Information and Communication Technologies Service. From 2011 to 2013, he was responsible for the development of the information system at the University of Porto. Between 2005 and 2011, he was an assistant professor at FEUP, in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and in the Department Computer Science and Engineering.

Tito Viera started his activity in 1993, as a trainer of several computer courses in varied institutions. In 1996, he joined the Computer Center at FEUP, where he served as Director between 2003 and 2013.

Over his professional career, he has been awarded several prizes and distinctions, such as: Pedagogical Incentive Award (FEUP, 2008), Pedagogical Incentive Award (FEUP, 2009), Performance Award (FEUP, 2011) and a vote of praise, for unanimously, about the work developed as Director of UPdigital.
