Dr. Spyros Arvanitis has been until his retirement in 2019 Senior Research Economist at the KOF Swiss Economic Institute of the ETH Zurich, where he has been Head of the Research Section ‘Innovation Economics’. Dr. Arvanitis holds a doctoral degree in economics from the University of Zurich and a doctoral degree in chemistry from the ETH Zurich. He has also been lecturer in economics at the ETH Zurich and has published extensively on the economics of innovation, technology diffusion, firm performance and market dynamics.
