Matsietso Matasane is a Lecturer in the school of law at the University of Witwatersrand. She teaches Law of Banking and Financial Markets and Consumer and Credit Agreements Law. Matasane conducts research in Banking and Finance Law, Consumer protection law, and certain aspects of Insolvency Law. She completed her Doctor of Laws (LLD) from the University of Pretoria in 2023. The title of her doctoral thesis is “A Deposit Guarantee Framework for South Africa: A Comparative Appraisal”.
