Ibrahim Kholilul Rohman is currently serving as Head of Samudera Indonesia Research Initiatives - a think tank group of Samudera Indonesia. As a regional company headquartered in Jakarta, Samudera operates in several ASEAN countries, East Asia and Middle East. His role centers towards conducting research and analysis linking between company, industry and macroeconomic variables. He is also Head of Samudera Indonesia Corporate University (SICU) responsible for running the training programs for around 4000+ employees at the different levels of managerial and field of businesses.

He is also a lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Business the University of Indonesia mainly as the caretaker on the course of Digital Economics (ECEU602308). He is actively involved in teaching and several consultations about digital economics with the World Bank, the Ministry of National Planning- Bappenas, The Indonesia’s Institute of Science (LIPI), Bank Indonesia, OJK, CSIS, Ministry of Communications and Information and the media (newsletter and broadcasting). His recent studies are the economic assessment of digital economy (World Bank) and Spectrum valuation (with the Ministry of ICT).

Previously, he worked as research fellow at the United Nations University- Operating Unit on Policy Driven Electronic Governance (UNU-EGOV), based in Guimarães, Portugal. His research was on the impact of e-government (eGov) development on country competitiveness and innovative capabilities. He also worked at the JRC Directorate Growth and Innovation-the European Commission to conduct research as part of the Europe's Digital Progress Report (EDPR) and Digital Single Market.

He published several articles in the Journal of Telecommunications Policy, INFO, and Science and Public Policy. He got his PhD in Technology Management and Economics from Chalmers University of Technology.
