Gedion Onyango is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Political Science and Public Administration, University of Nairobi, Kenya. He is also a research fellow affiliated with the Firoz Lalji Institute for Africa, The London School of Economics and Political Science, United Kingdom. His research focuses on Digital Governance, Public Accountability, and Public Policy in African countries.

Some of his peer-reviewed works have been published in leading public administration and policy journals, such as Public Integrity, Perspectives on Public Management and Governance, Public Organisation Review, International Journal of Public Administration, and Journal of Technology in Human Services. Some of his edited works include Public Policy and Technological Transformation in Africa: Nurturing Policy Entrepreneurship, Policy Tools and Citizen Participation, London: Palgrave Macmillan.
