Aurora Sanchez Ortiz is an Associate Professor of Information Systems and Director of the Information Technology Management Research Center at the Business School of Universidad Católica del Norte, in Chile. She received a Fulbright Scholarship to pursue her Ph.D. In Information Science with a minor in Management Information Systems at the University of North Texas, USA (2000- 2003). She also holds an MSc in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad de Chile, Chile. Professor Sánchez is the director of the "Collaboration Network in Information Technology and Systems in Chile" (RedSTI), a network that provides a place for interaction among researchers in Information technology. Her research work in e-government, Smart Cities, Electronic Participation, and Digital Transformation has been published in book chapters, academic journals, and conferences like AMCIS and the Academy of Management. She is currently part of the research team for "Strengthening Governance Capacity for Smart Sustainable Cities" financed by Erasmus+.
