Demetrios Sarantis
Demetrios Sarantis is a Senior Research Analyst at the United Nations University (UNU-EGOV) since 2017.
His expertise lies in local e-government, e-government assessment, e-health assessment, e-government project management, emerging technologies in public administration, e-participation, information systems interoperability and smart cities.
Demetrios is actively engaged in several projects, including designing and applying assessment methodologies in e-Government and e-Health. He contributes significantly to research efforts related to assessing government portals at a global level based on the Local Online Service Index methodology (LOSI network) in collaboration with the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA). He is involved in capacity development activities in ICT-enabled Governance.
He holds a Ph.D. in Communication Sciences from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece, an MSc in Operational Research and Information Systems from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a BEng in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens.
