Biography

An academic leader, cybersecurity researcher, and digital-transformation specialist, Naveed Ahmad holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science with a specialization in cybersecurity from the University of Surrey, United Kingdom. His research and professional interests include cybersecurity, artificial intelligence for cybersecurity, open-source intelligence, digital forensics, blockchain, privacy and security architectures, intelligent transportation systems, digital government, management information systems, and ICT for sustainable development.

Previously, he served as Associate Professor at the Pak-Austria Fachhochschule Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology, Assistant Professor at the University of Peshawar, and Research Assistant at the University of Surrey. He has also undertaken consultancy and solution-architecture assignments for the United Nations, UNDP, UNODC, USAID, the World Bank, GIZ/GTZ, law-enforcement agencies, government departments, and technology organizations, contributing to cybersecurity capacity building, digital investigations, e-governance, enterprise systems, and public-sector digital transformation.

He has led multidisciplinary teams, research laboratories, funded projects, and large-scale software-development initiatives and has delivered professional training to government officials, police personnel, civil servants, researchers, and technology professionals.
