Ibrahim Adam
Ibrahim Osman Adam is Dean of the School of Business at the University for Development Studies, Tamale, Ghana, and a Professor of Management Information Systems. He brings extensive experience in higher education leadership, having served in multiple capacities in institutional transformations in higher education.
His research spans ICT4D, digital governance, AI integration in education, and e-government development in Africa. He currently leads IDRC-funded projects on the socioeconomic impacts of AI in sub-Saharan Africa and Google-funded projects on AI in education and governance in Ghana. He actively supervises PhD and MPhil research, secures international grants, and contributes to global academic initiatives.
He is known for his pragmatism and impact-driven approach in integrating digital innovation, inclusion, and societal transformation into both teaching and research, fostering academic excellence and development outcomes. He has received numerous awards including the Google Academic Research Award and the Vice Chancellor Award for Excellence.
