Roundtables

About

ICEGOV 2025 will feature a number of Roundtable Sessions. These sessions focus on the public sector and society, as well as contemporary concerns in IT, technology, modernisation reforms, and digital transformation. They are organised and run by governments, or international organisations or both together, offering a rare chance for these practitioners to offer a global perspective. Additionally, roundtable discussions foster insightful conversations and networking while providing a chance to learn about Digital Governance solutions that have been implemented or are being considered for implementation in the public sector. Roundtables provide a view into the most recent technological solutions and approaches in the public sector.

Important dates

Each Roundtable proposal must be submitted using the form available below until 30 May 2025. Submissions past this deadline will not be accepted and no other means of submission are available. Each proposal should be as complete as possible, although respecting the word limit for each field. A copy of the proposal is sent automatically by email to the person responsible for the submission. The decision notification will be issued to the same email address on 29 July 2025.

Selection criteria

All proposals will undergo a formal review process by the Roundtable Sessions Coordinator, who will, in turn, suggest a list of candidate roundtables to the Programme Committee Chairs for validation. The specific selection criteria for evaluating each proposal are based on: relevance, timeliness, novelty, and content. When selecting the proposals, priority will be given to roundtables that address exciting topics in creative formats likely to generate lively interactions and attract multiple types of participants. For a successful proposal, the following questions should be taken into consideration:

  • Why is the topic or topics relevant to the conference?
  • Why is the topic or topics novel and important?
  • Who is the expected audience, and what is the strategy foreseen (if any) to attract participants for the workshop?
  • How is the workshop covering original topics not necessarily covered by other conference sessions?

Kindly note that the following conditions apply:

  • All Roundtables must be in-person (no remote presentations).
  • Each roundtable’s Chair will receive one free registration to attend the conference.
  • Additionally, one free registration will be provided for one invited speaker per organisation, with a maximum of four (4) speakers allowed in each roundtable session, regardless of the nature of their presentation.
