An Associate Professor of Information Systems & Artificial Intelligence with the University of Jos. An Avid AI for Development (AI4D) Researcher, he holds a PhD in Information Systems from the Prestigious University of South Africa (UNISA). With over 20 years of experience in developing, implementing and monitoring various digital transformation initiatives, Oyerinde’s research interests are particularly aligned to AI and use of technology in providing public value, efficiency & productivity of public sector institutions’ digital transformation initiatives and policies as it relates to human socioeconomic development.

He is the Deputy Director, Centre for Entrepreneurship & Innovation; Head, Department of Computer Information Systems and the Research Lead of the Digital Transformation and AI Research Cluster of the Faculty of Computing, all at the University of Jos. He is the Zonal Coordinator and Representative to CPN Council, North Central Zone of the Nigeria Computer Society, and the Digital Transformation Specialist Consultant to the UNESCO National Office, Abuja where he supports UNESCO and Federal Ministry of Education in various digital transformation and AI in education initiatives.

Oyerinde is a member of the Nigerian Computer Society (NCS), Computer Professionals (Registration Council of) Nigeria (CPN), Practical Artificial Intelligence Development Foundation (PAIDeF), Association for Information Systems (AIS), United Kingdom Academy for Information Systems (UKAIS), the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP) & the Internet Society (ISOC).
