Biography

Ibrahim Osman Adam is Dean of the School of Business and Professor of Management Information Systems at the University for Development Studies.

His research interests center on digital technologies within business and innovation. He focuses specifically on e-commerce, e-government, social media, and broader digital transformations, and dedicates a significant portion of his research to understanding the intricate connections within the ICT4D (Information and Communication Technology for Development) value chain.

Adam examines ICT readiness, access, use, and impact across diverse business and societal contexts. His academic credentials include a PhD in Information Systems from the University of Ghana Business School, and dual master's degrees from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and Henley Business School, University of Reading. Furthermore, he is a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana).
