Roundtable
Balancing Inclusion and Innovation in DPI
This roundtable explores how Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) can be designed and implemented in ways that foster innovation while ensuring inclusion - particularly for women, marginalized groups, and digitally underserved populations. As countries expand digital systems for identity, payments, and public services, embedding inclusive values into both the design and governance of DPI is essential.
Objectives for Participants
- To explore practical strategies for embedding inclusion into DPI design, development, and governance
- To identify risks of digital exclusion and discuss ways to mitigate them early in project cycles
- To examine how PPP models can be structured to balance innovation, efficiency, and social equity
- To share global experiences on leveraging PPPs for inclusive DPI implementation
