Yachat Nuhu is the Officer in Charge of the Communication and Information Sector of the UNESCO Abuja Office, a position she has held for over four years. In this role, she has supported the country in fostering an equitable, informed, and resilient society by engaging stakeholders, promoting information integrity, and advancing inclusive digital governance, with a focus on building human and institutional capacities for digital transformation.
Previously, Yachat Nuhu served as a Programme Assistant at UNESCO, where she provided programme support and coordination. Before joining UNESCO, she worked as a Procurement Associate at UNDP, contributing to sustainable development and disaster resilience initiatives.
