Gdańsk University of Technology

Gdańsk University of Technology (GUT) is one of the oldest public universities and a leading research university in Poland. It has eight faculties, close to 1300 academic teachers representing 14 scientific disciplines, and over 14,000 students educated in 37 fields of study.
GUT is well-ranked in the Shanghai Ranking, QS World University Rankings and the Times Higher Education Impact Ranking. In Poland, it is a leading research university and the most frequently chosen public university among students. GUT hosts four modern research centres including the STOS (Smart and Transdisciplinary knOwledge Services) Competence Center running one of the most modern supercomputers – Kraken. It offers study programs for engineers, economists, managers, etc. many taught in English, which are internationally-accredited.
The Faculty of Management and Economics, the youngest in GUT hosts nine departments including the Department of Informatics in Management. It conducts research and delivers Master, Engineering, Bachelor and Doctoral programs at the intersection of technology, management and economics.
The Department hosts a multi-disciplinary and international team of professors, assistant professors and doctoral students representing informatics, management, administration, economics, political science, architecture, and law. The team includes members from Argentina, Canada, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, and Ukraine. Part of the team are IT engineers and managers who combine active academic and industrial careers.
