Considering the necessity to address urban challenges, leading to a better quality of life, economic development, and sustainability, smart and sustainable city initiatives play an important role. The ongoing ERASMUS+ research Project "Strengthening Governance Capacity for Smart and Sustainable Cities (CAP4CITY)" goes beyond state of the art in studying smart cities towards establishing a new, complete, context-based set of learning materials. This material can contribute to the quality of higher education on smart and sustainable cities related topics by sharing knowledge, experiences, and good practices, increasing smart and sustainable city-related capacities. This workshop aims to discuss how the CAP4CITY cases database can be used in learning activities and encourage the participants to examine potential teaching cases that can be further developed and be part of the database. Small group brainstorming sessions will allow discussing the country-specific challenges to be addressed and how the teaching cases can be improved to support lecturers in their activities. Teaching cases are a valuable tool to discuss concepts and their application to real situations, understand the context\'s role, and contribute to a common-base discussion for students and other applicants from different world regions and contexts.
Objectives for the participants
The intended audience of the workshop is academics, practitioners, and students in digital government coming both from the public and the private sector.
