Maria Luisa Pacheco is Deputy General Director, Head of International Department, at the Ministry of Justice of Portugal and Deputy General Secretary of COMJIB. She has represented Portugal in several fora particularly at UNDOC, OCDE and CATS. She has been actively involved in the cooperation with Portuguese speaking countries and Ibero America and she is the Portuguese contact point for the EL PAcCTO program. Previously she was an executive member of the board of Casa da Moeda (Portuguese mint), Head of Staff of the Secretary of State of Treasury and Finance and of the Secretary of State for Equality. With a degree in law from Portugal and a master in European law from the University of Urbino (Italy), she is a tax expert with a long experience and she has been head of European Union missions on tax evasion to Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey.
