Emily Woodward is an M.A. student in the University of Texas at Austin’s School of Journalism and Media, and a graduate research assistant at the Technology & Information Policy Institute. At the Technology & Information Policy Institute, Emily has conducted research on issues surrounding privacy, data policies and data governance, and civic engagement related to the use of public camera systems in U.S. cities. Prior to arriving at UT, Emily spent several years working as a design researcher and strategist in Chicago and earned her BA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
