About

The 9th International Conference on Theory and Practice of Electronic Governance (ICEGOV2016) took place under the high patronage of the Presidency of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay in Montevideo, Uruguay, from 1 to 3 March 2016.

It was co-organized by the Agency for Electronic Government and Information Society of Uruguay (AGESIC) and the United Nations University Operating Unit on Policy-Driven Electronic Governance (UNU-EGOV) in collaboration with United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

ICEGOV2016 featured a rich academic, capacity-building and network-building program of keynote lectures, plenary discussions, thematic sessions, invited sessions, a poster exhibition, and a doctoral colloquium, all built from submitted or invited contributions by researchers, experts, policymakers and practitioners from around the world. The conference engaged authors, reviewers, committee members and resource persons from 64 countries and economies.
