Sehl Mellouli is a full professor in the Department of Management Information Systems at Université Laval in Canada. Dr. Mellouli served as the chair of the department from 2015 to 2020 and was appointed Deputy Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs in 2020. His research interests include smart cities, electronic government, intelligent systems, semantic web, and data analysis. He is a former president of the Digital Government Society and a member of several research centers, including the Smart City Smart Government Research and Practice Consortium, the Interuniversity Research Center on Enterprise Networks, Logistics and Transports, and the Research Center on Geomatics. Professor Mellouli has over 100 publications in leading journals and conferences and serves as an associate editor of Digital Government Research and Practice and on the editorial board of Government Information Quarterly.
