Marie Anne Macadar

Marie Anne Macadar is a professor of Management Information Systems at COPPEAD Graduate School of Business, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). She is also an Associate Dean of International Affairs at COPPEAD/UFRJ. Professor Marie was a visiting scholar at the Center for Technology in Government (CTG) at the State University of New York, USA, in 2012. She has a PhD in Business Administration from the University of São Paulo (USP/Brazil) and was a visiting student at the University of Cambridge (UK). She has been an ICT in Government Track Chair at Conf-IRM, DG.o, ICEGOV (and Program Chair, 2021), and Program Chair at ISLA 2020 (Conference on Information Systems in Latin America). She is also the program chair at the main Brazilian Conference on MIS: ADI/ENANPAD) and EnADI.

Additionally, she is a peer reviewer in several national and international top academic journals. Her research interests are related to eGovernment, Smart Cities, eParticipation, and citizen engagement. She is a member of the Smart Cities Smart Government Research-Practice Consortium, led by the Center for Technology in Government, University at Albany, USA. She also supervises PhD, Master students and coordinates research projects financed by CNPq in her research area. She is a peer reviewer in the main national and international journals of the area. Professor Marie A.Macadar regularly takes part in the main electronic government conferences and received some Best Paper Awards at national and international conferences on the subject.
