Dr Euripidis Loukis is Professor of Information Systems at the Department of Information and Communication Systems Engineering, University of the Aegean, Greece. Also, he has taught at the Postgraduate Program 'Athens MBA' of the National Technical University of Athens and the Athens University of Economics and Business, and at the postgraduate program of the Greek National Academy of Public Administration. He has served as Information Systems Advisor at the Ministry to the Presidency of the Government of Greece, and also as National Representative of Greece in the programs ‘Telematics’ and ‘IDA’ (Interchange of Data between Administrations) of the European Union. Prof. Loukis has conducted extensive research in the areas of e-government as well as private sector information systems, which has been published in high quality journals, such as Government Information Quarterly, Decision Support Systems, Information Sciences, Industrial and Corporate Change and Electronic Markets – The International Journal. He has been honored with several awards, such as Scholarships of the Onassis Common Benefit Foundation and the National Scholarships Foundation, and the Best Paper International Award of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), the European Mediterranean Conference on Information Systems (EMCIS) 2011 and the IFIP EGOV-EPART 2016 Conference.
