Georgios Yannopoulos is Associate Professor teaching Legal Informatics at the School of Law, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Since 2015 he directs the Laboratory of Law and Informatics. Georgios has studied law (LLB) at the University of Athens and has a PhD from the University of London, where he has also taught and conducted post-doctoral research. In addition, he has professional qualifications in computer programming and system analysis. He is a qualified Lawyer registered to the Athens Bar Association. His research interests include all aspects of the interaction of law with IT, among other, Internet Law and Regulation, Legal Information Systems, Data Protection, Cybersecurity, Electronic Signatures, Secrecy of Communications and Protection of Intellectual Property. He has published 4 monographs and numerous articles.
