Charalampos (Harris) Alexopoulos is a Senior Researcher at the Department of Information and Communications Systems Engineering of the University of the Aegean, publishing on text-mining, blockchain, open data, decision support, smart cities and e-Government. He is also an anjunct professor at the same department teaching interoperability and big data. Harris is a Project Manager in the Information Systems Laboratory, working on European and National funded research and pilot application projects on open data text-mining and decision support. Harris serves as Programme and Track chair of the following conferences: Samos Summit, MCIS, HICSS, ICEGOV, ICDS, EMCIS and ICEDEG. In 2015, he was ranked as one of the most prolific researchers in open data research worldwide by Hossain, Dwivedi and Rana (2015). In 2019, he won the best research paper award in the 13th International Conference on Digital Society and eGovernments. He is currently the project manager of the Manylaws project.
