Paper Sessions

Paper Sessions take place on all three days of the conference, both in the morning and in the afternoon. Each session lasts for two hours and is chaired by leading individuals in the thematic subject of the session. Papers accepted for publication are presented by the authors during these sessions, up to a maximum of six presentations per session. The indicative structure of a paper session is as follows:

  • Opening of the session and introductory notes on the topic (Chair);
  • Introduction of presenter #1 (Chair);
  • Presentation #1 (Author + Q&A audience);
  • Introduction of presenter #2 (Chair);
  • Presentation #2 (Author + Q&A audience);
  • Introduction of presenter #3 (Chair);
  • Presentation #3 (Author + Q&A audience);
  • Introduction of presenter #4 (Chair);
  • Presentation #4 (Author + Q&A audience);
  • Introduction of presenter #5 (Chair);
  • Presentation #5 (Author + Q&A audience);
  • Introduction of presenter #6 (Chair);
  • Presentation #6 (Author + Q&A audience);
  • Final remarks and conclusion of the session (Chair).

In principle, each paper presentation is 15 minutes, with 5 minutes for Q&A from the audience.

CHAIRS: the session Chairs should confirm, at the beginning of the session, that all paper presenters are in the room. They should also ensure that the session runs within the time limit set and is properly moderated regarding the Q&A from the audience. Finally, at the end of the session, the Chairs should indicate whether all scheduled papers were presented or not. The form is available here.

AUTHORS: every room will be equipped with a computer running Windows operating system, a multimedia projector, and a projection screen. All presentations must be sent by email to icegovfiles@gmail.com at least one day before the session. The presentations may be sent in PDF, PPT, or PPTX. As a backup, the authors should bring their presentations to the room in a USB drive. All presentations must be delivered in English.
