The 13th edition of the International Conference on Theory and Practice of Electronic Governance (ICEGOV 2020), originally scheduled to be held on 1-3 April 2020, was postponed due to the COVID-19 virus outbreak and the restrictions set by the Greek Government on conferences (please see our earlier announcement here). During the last days, we committed our best efforts, in collaboration with the conference patron and partners, to set a new date for the conference, which we are happy to share with you now.
ICEGOV 2020 is now scheduled to be held on 23-25 SEPTEMBER 2020 in Athens, Greece (same venue; Workshops and Doctoral Colloquium will be on 22 September). As much as possible, we will try to keep the same conference programme, sessions and speakers, and hope that everyone who originally wanted to attend can still make it on the new date. During the next five months ahead, we will continue with the conference preparations in the hope that an even richer and interesting programme can be developed during this period.
On behalf of the University of the Aegean, the Harokopio University of Athens, and the United Nations University (UNU-EGOV), we would like to thank you for your understanding regarding this matter and your continuous support towards ICEGOV. We will keep monitoring the evolution of COVID-19 and hope that everyone can safely make it through this global issue. In the unfortunate case that the evolution with COVID-19 does not allow the conference to be held in September 2020, stay assured that the accepted papers will still be published in 2020 and the part of the collected fees corresponding to local organisation costs will be reimbursed.
In case you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us by email to email@example.com. We will try to reply as soon as possible.
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused and look forward to welcoming you to Athens in September!
